About the Local School Council (LSC)
Chicago Public Schools have Local School Councils (LSC) which are responsible for three main duties:
- Approving how school funds and resources are allocated
- Developing and monitoring the annual School Improvement Plan (CIWP)
- Evaluating and selecting the school's principal
The Local School Council (LSC) is an elected group, made up of 6 parents, 2 teachers, 1 non-teaching staff representative, and 2 representatives from the North Lawndale community where the school is located, and the principal. The LSC members serve two-year terms; the current term runs from July 2016 to June 2018. Plamondon School's current LSC members are listed below.

Our meetings are open to all Plamondon School families, staff, and neighbors–please come, we’d love to have you! Public comment is always on the agenda and is an important part of each meeting.
Regular meetings are at either 9:00 a.m. or 3:45 p.m. in room 205, unless otherwise noted. For the 2016-17 school year, the meeting dates are: November 17, 2017, January 24, 2017, March 16, 2017, May 16, 2017
